How to book a clean

How do I make a booking?
All you have to do is fill out our secure booking form, selecting the time and date that you want us to clean your home. It’s as simple as that and will only take you 60 seconds. Once you have completed your booking you will receive a confirmation email instantly.
Do I need to enter my card details to book?
Yes. We need to take payment information to book your appointment, but your card will not be charged until after your cleaning has been successfully completed. Guaranteed.
How do I amend or cancel my booking?
It is simple to amend or cancel your booking, you can either login to your account or please email us at and we will take care of your request. Please give us 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel your booking otherwise there is a £40 cancellation charge.

What does it cost to clean my home?
We have made it easy to book a cleaner with our flat-rate pricing based on the number of bedrooms in your home. That means you don’t need to try to work out how many hours it might take to make your home sparkle. To view our pricing go to our Pricing page. There are no surprises with our pricing. It’s as simple as that.
What services do the cleaners provide?
We offer three types of cleaning service. A standard clean which a lighter clean that covers all the important areas of the house, perfect if you book a regular clean with us. A deep clean which is a more thorough clean which we recommend if you house hasn’t been cleaned professionally in the last three months. We can also offer you do move in/move out cleans which includes the spot cleaning of all walls and cleaning inside all of your cupboards. We can also offer you extra cleaning services.
How do I know what has been cleaned?
All of our cleaners work to a checklist that we guarantee to complete. They work through your home, ticking off the tasks as they complete them. Once they have finished all of the tasks on the checklist they leave the checklist behind for you. That way you can be confident that all of the tasks have been completed to the highest standard.
What is a deep clean?
deep clean is recommended to all first time customers or if you haven’t had a clean in the previous 2 months. Visit our pricing page now to see what tasks make up a deep clean.
Do you offer end of tenancy cleans?

Yes. We recommend that you book a move in / move out clean to get the place in ship shape before your tenancy ends, this will help enable your landlord/ estate agent to return you/ your deposit.

Alternatively if you are a landlord yourself  we can help clean before you new tenants move in. If you have a multi-house cleaning requirement please get in touch

Why do you charge a flat rate price?
We want to keep our services clear and transparent for you, so you know exactly what you are getting.

We have worked hard on developing a price structure that balances a quality clean with a fair price for you and a fair wage for our cleaners.

Do you move furnitures?

For safety and insurance reasons we do not move furnitures in any of our services and any circumstances. However if provided with wheels it is up to the cleaner whether or not taking the responsibility to move them.

Billing & Payment

How do I redeem a discount code or voucher?
Simple, simply enter your discount code on the booking form to put it to use.
How do I pay?
We take your credit or debit card details at the time of booking however we will only collect payment after your cleaning service has been performed. We accept all major credit cards (including American Express) and debit cards for payment.
When will my card be charged?
For your security and peace of mind we never charge until after the cleaning has been performed, and you receive an email receipt instantly.
Is my card payment secure?
Yes it is, our payment technology is provided by Stripe. Their SSL encrypted, PCL compliant system is completely secure and trusted by companies worldwide. Read more about them on
Will I be charged if I cancel my booking?
If you cancel your clean within 24 hours of the scheduled time, we have to charge you a cancellation fee of £40. If you re-book a clean with us then half of the cancellation fee will be applied towards your next clean.

Are Book2Clean cleaners well looked after?
Yes, we are a close knit team here at Book2Clean and we have got a close relationship with all our cleaners. We pride ourselves on allowing our cleaners to work flexibly which is important where they have children to collect from school or other caring responsibilities. We also pay our cleaners more than other cleaning companies do, this is so we attract only the most experienced and reliable cleaners in your area.
Will I get the same cleaning team every time if I book a regular clean?
Yes, assuming you are happy with your cleaning team you will always get the same cleaning team.

On the day of your clean

What time will the cleaners arrive?
Our cleaners will arrive just before the scheduled start time of your clean, however in instances of heavy traffic please allow a 30 minute window for your cleaner to arrive.
How many cleaners do you send?
We typically send teams of 2, but for smaller properties we will usually send just one cleaner to get the job done.
Do your cleaners bring their own supplies?
Yes, our cleaning teams come completely prepared to make your house shine! They will bring the following:
  • Vacuum cleaner (if you don’t have one)
  • Mop and bucket
  • Kitchen and bathroom cleaner
  • Window and glass cleaner
  • Furniture spray
  • Oven cleaner
  • Non abrasive spray
  • Non abrasive cleaner

Of course! We advise you to do so, to keep your home at its absolute best, allowing you to enjoy your home.

Can I make special requests?
Of course you can, on the secure booking form you can leave any instructions, special requests in the instructions section.

What happens after I make my booking?
We will contact you shortly after you book to confirm availability of your requested date/time.

How do I edit a booking?
You can edit your booking by logging in to your account.

All edits must be made 24 hours before a clean takes place.

Insurance & Keys

Do you have insurance?
We sure do, for your peace of mind we ensure our cleaners are fully insured when in your home. Accidents can happen which is exactly why we have comprehensive insurance cover.
How much insurance do you have?
We have £2 million public liability insurance. We also insist that each of our cleaner teams have their own insurance too.

Are your cleaners insured?
Yes, we insist that each of our cleaners is insured when cleaning your home.
Do I need to be home for my booking?
No is the simple answer, all you need to do is ensure the cleaner can gain access to your house. Whether you leave a key with the neighbour/ friend just be sure to leave instructions when you book your clean.
Can I leave keys with my cleaner?
Of course, this is totally upto you. If you book regularly with us we will ensure you have the same cleaner, and you are free to leave your key with them.

B2C Guarantee

What is the Book2Clean guarantee?
We guarantee that you will be delighted by the results of your clean. If for some reason you are not just let us know within 48 hours and we promise to send a cleaner back to put it right for free. It’s as simple as that. We don’t pay our cleaners until after this time period, so there is no risk when you book a B2C clean.


How do I give feedback?
We will send you an email once the clean is complete asking you for feedback. Please do take time to complete this as we like to give our cleaners a bonus for receiving a five star review. We promise to act on any feedback you send us as we are a young company trying to improve so please do share any suggestions that you have on how we can improve.
